Z and Z is a small, named, licensed plumbing crew based in San Leandro. We are open to hearing from licensed plumbers, apprentices working toward their hours, and field helpers who want a steady seat on a real crew.
Open Roles
We hire when the right person walks in. These are the roles we run. If you fit one, send us a resume and tell us about the work you have done.
California-licensed plumbers with C-36 certification and at least 2 years field experience. You will run residential and commercial calls from kitchen drains to sewer laterals. Z and Z provides the truck, tools, and dispatch.
Apprentices working toward their hours with us on real licensed jobs. You will start on routine calls and grow into full lateral, repipe, and emergency work. We support the path to C-36.
Field helpers who back up the crew on excavation, trenchless rigs, and water-heater installs. Physical role, daytime hours, with a clear path to apprenticeship if you want it.
Why Work at Z and Z
We do not run agency labor or call-center dispatch. Z and Z is owner-operated under CSLB #896116 and has been in the East Bay since 2003. Here is what that means for the crew.
We hold C-36 and A General Engineering. That means crew members get experience on jobs other plumbing shops can't legally run. Sewer laterals, street-side excavation, EBMUD compliance.
We do not staff through agencies. We do not run a call center. When you join Z and Z, you join Seif's crew. Same number, same trucks, same people every day.
23 years in the same East Bay service area. Oakland, San Leandro, Berkeley, Alameda, Fremont, Union City, Newark, Dublin, Pleasanton, Walnut Creek, and nearby corridor calls. No long-distance travel. No nights unless you sign up for the on-call emergency rotation.
Our yard is at 3057 Teagarden Street, San Leandro, CA 94577. Easy I-880 access. Trucks stocked here. Most jobs are within 30 minutes of the yard.
